Exactly the right therapy – for your child

We want to support your child’s development irrespective of its diagnosis, illness or disability.

Vojta

Vojta Therapy trains normal sequences of movement. It enables the restoration of elementary patterns of movement by activating various levels of the body, from sceletal muscles to inner organs. The child moves without being constantly corrected and therefore develops more freely and spontaneously.
The therapist administers goal-directed pressure to reflex points. Parents are coached extensively throughout the process.

Bobath

The Bobath concept fosters healthy physiological patterns of movement and supports every development phase.
The child’s parents and attachment figures are involved into the treatment in order to automate and maintain the acquired skills by performing targeted exercises at home. The goal of the concept is to enable the child to apply these skills independently in everyday life.
The treatment consists of exercises that are performed in different positions and with different equipment and materials.

Threedimensional Scoliosis Treatment
by Lehnert-Schroth

The 3-D-Scoliosis Treatment by Lehnert-Schroth is an established concept in physiotherapy. It is a conservatice treatment for children and adolescents suffering from spinal deformity caused by disturbance of growth (so-called idiopathic scoliosis). Treatment should be initiated at a curvature greater than 10 degrees. The concept can be applied starting at an age of approximately 6 years.
The principal scoliotic curvature and the compensatory curvature are corrected, i.e. actively erected, deflected and derotated in various steps by correcting the pelvic statics.
This is furter supported by using rotational angular breathing. The concept includes physiotherapeutic exercises as well as the development of a corrected posture that can be realistically integrated in everyday life. In the context of daily life management the child’s resting posutres are influenced in a way that “hanging” in the principal curvature is avoided and “resting in a corrected posture” is possible.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapy positively influences the physical and physiological development of the child by enhancing the oxygen supply. It can be used for infants as well as children and adolescents. In the case of acute or chronic inflammations of the bronchial tubes, respiratory therapy stimulates the flow of secretion by mobilising the thorax. Thus elasticity and mobility are maintained.
One important part of the therapy is constituted by the inhalation of prescribed medicine. In the case of malposition, respiratory therapy fosters economical respiration that helps release blockages and enhances mobility. Parents participate actively in the therapy and are taught specific exercices and respiratory techniques that can be applied in everyday life.

From the first day to the first steps.

From the initial drinking to the right food.

House calls – individual and personal

Since there are special cases that don’t allow treatment in our practice we offer to treat your child at your home if necessary. Thus the treatment can take place in your child’s familiar surroundings. This allows us to individually support the child as well as the parents and reach a faster realization of the child’s needs in its everyday life. Please note: House calls do require a prescription
